Meadville, recently and were challenged to do a community service project, organized a collection of items to be sent to American military troops serving overseas. The three were among 14 sophomores and a senior who spear headed t he collection effort. They applauded the efforts of students at CVHS in bringing in items ranging from food items to pencils, tissues to washing/cleaning puffs. The trio also oversaw the making of a DVD with students filmed providing words of support for the troops serving away from home and in combat positions. Donations collected are being passed on the Meadville based Support Our Troops group who then pack and send the donations. The students also applauded the efforts of Mr. Burns, principal, and Kathy Watson, school spirit leader, for the help they gave to the project. |
