CVE - The Head Start children had a blast finding different rocks and stones. They picked the best rock to be their own to keep in their pocket all the time. Then they picked a large rock to make as a pet. They added feathers, eyes, nose, hair and different accessories. They have had fun looking at them in the display case in the first hall. They are ready to take them home and show them to their families. The children have also enjoyed making butter. They found out that if they put heavy whipping cream in a jar, then shake a lot, then it would turn into butter. Even though the butter had no salt, they found it still tasted good on crackers. They were excited to find out that they could make the butter in different colors. And it tasted the same. They were sad to hear that Thursday was the last day the CAAP was going to be here. Miss Connie is done with our program but will come back next year. The children learned how to be safe and healthy, to say No, Go to a safe place and to tell a grown up. It was a great time learning. We want to thank Connie. It was a very busy week. We went to the Linesville Library and Miss Telce read books on pirates. The children learned why it was important to brush their teeth, wash their body and stay clean. They made pirate hats and got treasures. It was a fun day.
