LEARNING ABOUT BATS - Parent Chris Miller looks at a bat with her son, Damian, and classmate, Dante, in a Head Staart class at CVE. See details and story on page 12.
We had a great week. One of our parents helped the children learn about bats. They learned that bats are nocturnal and fly at night to catch their food. They also learned that bats sleep hanging upside down in the day time. This was a fun adventure for the children. They also had a great time collecting and painting the leaves outside. We have found out that the leaves come in all sizes and a lot of colors. The children really like the big leaves. We also finally carved our pumpkins. It was fun but really hard because they were small. Also one of them molded so it was a real learning experience. There was so much fun to be had this week that we are unable to tell it all. Next week we are having a special visitor and the BABES puppets are coming. Check in and see all that we do. I believe we are also making pumpkin bread. Yuma. Have a great week.
