Hi there everyone! How is everyone this fine day? I am good. I also have a lot to tell you.

Your very own Lisa...yes, “Lisa’s Rants and Raves”, came to visit my mama. As you know, mama’s name is Patricia and she and Lisa are friends.

Well. Well. Well. i just loved her. I really loved her. If a cat can fall in love...and I am a girl cat...then I fell in love. I could not get enough of her.

She slept on a cot and I squiggled my butt up on the end of that cot and just gazed at her. I rolled over and over and flipped my tail back and forth to show her how much I loved her.

Also, I could see her big toe. Now. Big toes make me crazy. I have to bite them. And, I did it. I bit hers. And then I decided to chew on her leg.

She was new. Why not?

Plus, she had things that were so interesting. She had a laptop and next to that, some chips. I love chips. My favorite are Cheese Doritos...but I will take anything that even looks like a chip. I crunch and crunch. I love the taste of them.

So, I spotted the treasures. A laptop that I could put my paws on and chips to sink my little sharp teeth into. Plus a big toe! What a day this was!!! Boy, oh boy!!

So I squiggled under the covers and squeezed my fat body up toward the laptop. I knew I could crawl without her seeing me except for the movement under the cover. I would peek occasionally to see if she was watching...sneak a peek. She was busy gabbing with mama.

And so? I got to the laptop and put my little paws on that laptop just to feel it. And then, I saw a chip that had fallen on the cot. I grabbed it and chomped it down. Heaven. Absolute Heaven. A big toe. A leg. A laptop and a chip. And Lisa. Who could ask for more?

Then they took me down to the courtyard while they played Trivial Pursuit. I didn’t like that. They paid no attention to me. I hated that part of it. And, I let them know. I meowed and meowed and finally, they brought me back up.

Then, night came. And those two? Mama and Lisa? They got into their beds and turned off the lights. Nope. No way I was going to let them sleep. I was too happy and excited to have company.

So...I would go up to Lisa on her cot and put my nose right in her face. And watch her. As soon as her eyes closed? I started to pace. And howl. Mama cursed once from her bed and so I ran and hid. And then? They would start to close their eyes again..and I would howl. And run and hide again in the bathtub. I pranced around in the dark meowing away and they just kept going to sleep. They would not get up!

I didn’t let them sleep for a good while. Then, I got tired. It had been a long day. A long and good day.

I went to that cot and crawled up on the end of it. I pretended to be in the woods. Like a hunter camping in the wild. Waiting for the morning to get up and stir up breakfast and start the coffee. Make a fire. I watched Lisa sleep for a while from the end of the cot and then, I drifted off. I was so happy. To be a part of the crowd. The bunch. The gang. Part of the conversation. Included. Entertained. It was so good. I had good dreams. Slept like a baby.

I want Lisa to come back. Things are so exciting when she is here. Things happen. And she likes me. She talks to me. She hugs me. She tells me how cute I am. And, I put on my cute face...the little baby-face I have that people love.

And I roll. And flip my tail. I don’t purr. I flip. My tail is my happy barometer. Flipping it shows my joy. It is like a whip...a Zorro whip or something. You’d best not be in the way of it or you would be stung. I can really flip!

Then, in the morning? We got up and had coffee and by that time, it was time for Lisa to leave. I saw her packing and I was very unhappy. I didn’t want her to go.

Then, she left. And, I miss her. I just met her and I miss her. I keep waiting for her to come back. And, she said she would.

The moral here? Hmmm. Not sure. Maybe the moral is that friendship is so good! And we should not forget how good it is to enjoy each other. Just enjoy each other.
